What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that uses targeted pressure on specific areas of the feet, but can also include the hands and ears. Reflexology’s “roadmap” to the body has ancient roots, dating back to roughly 2330 BCE. While these areas are traditionally believed to correspond with different parts of the body, reflexology is considered a complementary wellness practice—not a medical treatment.
Many people choose reflexology because it helps them relax, unwind, and reconnect with their bodies. Current research suggests reflexology may help promote relaxation, reduce feelings of stress and anxiety, and support overall well-being for some individuals. However, more high-quality research is needed to fully understand its effects, and it should not be considered a substitute for medical care.
At The Rustic Remedy, our goal isn't to diagnose, treat, or cure disease. Our goal is to give your nervous system a chance to slow down, your feet the attention they deserve, and you a peaceful space to simply rest. Whether you're on your feet all day, feeling mentally drained, or just looking for a different way to relax, reflexology offers a calming experience designed with your comfort in mind.
